Leadership

The Keystone Health Information Exchange™ (KeyHIE) is governed as a loose collaboration using a Memorandum of Understanding to support the efforts of the initiative. Bylaws have been drafted, but due to concerns with overhead, the group chose to defer a formal incorporation until it becomes appropriate. The KeyHIE Governance Team meets quarterly in-person and also has a monthly teleconference to discuss ongoing projects. The Hospital and Health System Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) has actively participated in these meetings.

Current Membership

On November 14, 2005, the governance development team voted to approve a Mission, Vision, and Values document, and agreed to language for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to be signed by all organizations that wanted to continue developing the organization as founding members.
